Laura Minor

Laura Minor won the 2023 Minds on Fire Open Book Prize and the 2020 John Ciardi Poetry Prize. Her critically acclaimed debut book of poems, Flowers as Mind Control, is on BkMk Press/University of Arkansas Press. The original first book manuscript was turned into lyrics for her debut record, Salesman’s Girl. She was also a finalist for the 2019 National Poetry Series and the winner of the 2019 ILA's Rita Dove Poetry Award. She received her M.F.A. from Sarah Lawrence College and her Ph.D. from FSU. Her work has appeared or is forthcoming from The Missouri Review, Cortland Review, SWWIM, Poetry Daily, Verse Daily, Nelle, Mantis, The North American Review, Ploughshares, Quiddity International Literary Magazine, and Arc Poetry Magazine among others.
